What is Calisthenics?
We’ve Got Team Spirit
The word calisthenics comes from the Greek, Kalos and Sthenos meaning ‘Beauty’ and ‘Strength’.
It is the art and science of beautiful movement.
Calisthenics is a combination of GYMNASTICS, DANCE, BALLET, DRAMA and APPARATUS’. Calisthenics is a competitive team sport, the teams learn choreographed routines in different areas which are performed in costume on stage at yearly competitions.
With classes for all ages and abilities calisthenics is the complete package. Body and mind working together to the perfect symphony of mobility, stability, flexibility, strength and play.
